Description

BADASSERY EXEMPLIFIED! THAT'S THE BEST WAY TO EXPLAIN THIS 71 EL CAMINO SS TRIBUTE! As I'm sure you all know El Camino's are one of the hottest items in the classic industry right now. Prices are absolutely surging and there's no sign of them slowing down! This 1971 SS tribute is no exception. This car has had an immense amount of restorative work done to it! So lets get into what was done and what is to be said about this bad boy!

EXTERIOR: The oh so cool Gray exterior with painted black SS stripes really makes this a stand out car! Paint is about a year or so old (stripes were just done). Rear bumper is brand new and all the trim rings on the wheels were just added as well so they all have that brand new gleam to them! The BF Goodrich tires have plenty of tread on them and make this car look cool (not cheap like some of the others you see out there with bargain basement tires on them). Windshield and windshield trim is brand new as is the rear trim that goes around the rear window. As a whole I'd say the exterior of this car is an 8....very nice and much better than your average driver. Compared to the others I've seen in this price range this blows them away!

INTERIOR:
The interior of this car is where I had the most work done. All of the following is brand new and just replaced: Door panels on both door, window and quarter window cranks on both doors, top part of dash (it's an actual dash top not just a cover), steering wheel, headliner and visors as well. Definitely a lot of work has gone into the restoration of this car. The seat and carpet both looked like they were recently restored so I left those alone.

MECHANICALLY: This car drives absolutely phenomenal! When I had the car on the lift I noticed a small oil pan gasket leak and a small leak from the valve covers so I had them replaced. When we tore into the oil pan gasket we were astounded to see it appears as if the engine was very recently restored. I've included pictures of the internals from the bottom of the engine so you can see for yourself. After they did that I had a full tune up with new plugs, cap and rotor, oil and filter, fuel filter, thermostat and the car had a timing advance done along with fine tuning so this beauty absolutely purrs now!

In terms of driving this car drives great and stops pretty good too, but it is manual brakes so don't expect it to stop like a power brake car. The power steering works great and makes this car easy to handle.

SECURITY: This doesn't have an alarm but it does have a few anti-theft tricks I've had added so the average thief would be confused on how to even get this thing started. I won't advertise what was done, but lets just say it will leave you feeling confident to take this old school classic places you may not dare take others.
